Description : Perhaps more than any other genre, the rhythm section is the heart and soul of reggae. Consistently, she pushes the music forward with force, always with a characteristic, even beat of the drums in the very foreground.
The Reggae EZX takes traditional reggae drumming and recording techniques and puts them into the powerful structure of today’s most intuitive drum production tool, the EZdrummer 2.
The reggae EZX was recorded at the Rub-a-Dub studio in Stockholm, Sweden and comes with a unique and authentic collection of instruments, selected especially for this session.
Everything was recorded using vintage gears and microphones, genre-specific mixing techniques, and through a 1970s Soundcraft Series II console. All this, combined with the studio’s dense, organic wood walls, its cramped space, and thirty years of reggae history, will give you unrivaled authenticity in drumming for root-oriented music. Rich, warm and rich tones that will easily fit into any track you’re working on.
Two complete sets (with alternative tuning/damping on two sets of toms).
Traditional percussion and hand drums.
Effect chain presets for a wide variety of sounds and styles.
